Electric auctions

Nice cover, eh?

The auctions on our five-story team-up with Electric Literature will conclude this week, starting with the one for Toy Car + Marisa Silver Story, which ends today.

We were really excited about this batch of stories, and we’re pleased to see the prices looking so good. (Good cause, people: All proceeds to Girls Write Now. Please, shop away!) So it seems worth taking a moment to say just a little more about Electric Literature. As it happens, three of the contributors to this team-up have stories in the latest issue — Matt Sumell, Jenny Offill, and Rick Moody. Also one of the impressive things Electric Literature does is produce these videos that interpret, animate, or hallucinate a sentence from certain stories it’s published. Here is one based on a sentence from “Little Things,” Matt Sumell’s story in the latest issue. Electric Literature Volume 3 is available in multiple formats, here.

Wouldn’t it be cool if Significant Objects had such multimedia capabilities? Maybe some day… You never know.
